UB School of Management recognizes outstanding graduates of the 2022 class

Buffalo, NY — At the opening ceremony on May 20-21, the Buffalo School of Business recognized 17 outstanding graduates for their academic, off-campus, or volunteer achievements.

MBA, Master of Science, and PhD graduates, along with the awards received, are:

  • Kathryn Gentz The State University of New York’s Student Excellence Award, Grand Island, is the highest award given to students by the SUNY system. This honor recognizes students with outstanding achievements in areas such as leadership, community services, campus participation, and the arts.
  • Briana Hodge Corning’s William H. Wendell Memorial Award for Human Resources Management Student Excellence was presented to graduates who made the greatest contribution to the field of human resources management.
  • Andrew Hawk The MBA Student Achievement Award, Millerton, recognizes outstanding academic achievement and outstanding human lesson services for schools and universities.
  • Hawk He also received the Dr. Jerry and Mrs. Dinawind Awards for Promoting International Understanding for US-born students who promote international understanding among MBA students.
  • Danny JM Kim He received the Doctoral Student Achievement Award in Daejeon, South Korea for his excellent academic excellence in schools and universities and his outstanding human lesson service.
  • Kim He also received the Paul E. Green Award for Marketing, which is given to doctoral students in the Faculty of Business Administration who have demonstrated the excellence of marketing research.
  • Amey Kulkarni In Aurangabad, India, he received the Master of Science Student Achievement Award for his outstanding academic excellence and outstanding extracurricular services for schools and universities.
  • Cindy Lee Williamsville’s Sydney N. Khan Memorial Award for Sales and Marketing Excellence was presented to MBA students who made the greatest contribution to the field of sales and marketing.
  • Himanipuriya Dr. Marcel and Mrs. Kathryn Vinokur Awards to promote global understanding given to graduates born outside North America who promoted global understanding among MBA students in New Delhi, India.
  • Vishal Subramaniam In Mumbai, India, the Charles H. Diefendorf Award in Finance was presented to students who have made the most contributions to the field of finance.
  • Anna Zooful Doctor of East Amherst. The John and Arlyn Myers Award is presented to outstanding MBA students in the field of marketing.

The bachelor of science graduates and the awards they received are:

  • Gabriella Akopyan Amherst’s Katie Colefield Tuckahoe’s, and Emily Wilk Marketing at the Adriana Ilyse Thaler Memorial Senior Awards in Hamburg is presented to senior marketing students who best demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, marketing professionalism and personal motivation.
  • Andrew Melia With Churchville Khan (Heaven) Nguyen The Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key in Bien Hoa, Vietnam was awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who summarized the highest average grades of all qualified graduates.
  • Sydney Merit Rochester, an undergraduate achievement award, was praised for his excellent academic ability at school and university and his outstanding human lesson service.
  • Emily Picitelli The Orchard Park Eddie Lin Memorial Awards were presented to graduates focused on their accounting career at a medium-sized certified accountant office. Recipients must be proactive in guiding others, demonstrating academic excellence and a passion for learning, and having a compassionate and enjoyable attitude.
  • Adam Wykov The Michael S. Dockery Memorial Senior Awards to the UB Accounting Association of Lansamville, given to the Institute of Internal Auditors, accounting professionals, fellow students, and senior accounting students who have contributed to the school in an excellent way.
