Smartphone space without Android is unthinkable. Today, over 2.5 billion mobile users are using this operating system (OS), which is the most used mobile OS, followed by Apple’s iOS. Android seems to exist forever, but the first smartphone, the HTC Dream, was launched in 2008, about three years after search engine giant Google bought Android. Since then, Apple’s iOS has been the only challenger, beating several operating systems such as Windows, BlackBerry, Symbian and Palm OS. Low cost, increased number of applications, increased flexibility, and customizability may explain the popularity comparison (at least in Asia). Yes, this OS has hundreds of millions of features. However, if you think you’ve run out of them all, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Find your mobile phone

We all know how common it is to misplace a phone. To make matters worse, if you’re in silent mode, because tracking is an almost insurmountable task. Or is it? When you purchase an Android phone and add a Google account, a feature called “Search for devices” is automatically turned on. Then you don’t have to do anything. Go to http://www.google.com/android/find and it’s done! Get the current location of the lost phone. Not only that, you can remotely lock your phone, sign out of your Google account, and erase all content. If nearby,[サウンドを再生]You can easily find it using the options. With this option, the phone will ring for 5 minutes even in silent mode.

Get swiped notifications

When flooded with notifications, it is not uncommon to clear all notifications at once. However, it may remove important ones. Optionally, you can also open individual apps to access the notifications you need. But isn’t that a big problem? The good news is that Android has the option to get notifications that you inadvertently swipe. To do this, press and hold the home screen,[ウィジェット]The tab is displayed. Press it and scroll down to find the Settings widget. Press and hold to place it on the home screen. Then tap Notification Log to create a shortcut. Tap it to access all cleared notifications.

Limit notifications

Sometimes nothing gets more intrusive than those constant notifications. Only if there is a way to limit which apps can and cannot send notifications. Or do you have one? For Android users, the OS has options for that.[設定],[通知]Proceed in the order of. A list of apps is displayed. Simply turn the toggle switch on or off for individual apps to see who can send notifications.

Smartphone desktop

Currently, almost all websites come with mobile view options, but some of them can be difficult to use. In such cases, you can optionally display it exactly as it appears on your desktop. To do this, open your website in Google Chrome. Click the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.[デスクトップサイト]Scroll to and click to access it in Desktop View.

Check your heart rate

Did you know that you can monitor your heart rate with just your Android smartphone? Well, and the “instant heart rate monitor app”. To use this feature, launch the app and place your index finger on the camera lens of your smartphone. Just wait a few seconds and your heart rate will appear on your screen.

Rotate the screen

Agree that using the phone when connected for charging can be a hassle. In addition, some smartphones have a headphone jack attached to the bottom, which can interfere with the user’s experience. A simple trick is to rotate the screen upside down. This makes the overall experience much smoother. All phones come with a rotation on / off option, but if your phone doesn’t have it, you can use the “Adaptive Rotation Lock App” and you won’t even notice that you’re using your phone upside down. Since its launch, Google has upgraded its operating system many times. Earlier this month, the tech giant announced the Android 13 beta program in the form of developer previews for both Google and non-Google smartphones. It has many new features such as the revamped Google Wallet and RCS (Rich Communication Services) messaging. The Earthquake Early Warning feature will be rolled out in several countries beyond the 25 countries currently in use. Improving graphics performance in games is another option we’re looking forward to. Google is rolling out some new Android features, but it’s no exaggeration to say that many still have some unexplored features.
