MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that you can download for free on your mobile phone. Once installed, MetaMask can be connected to all types of DeFi applications (dApps) to easily send and receive cryptocurrencies.

The MetaMask mobile wallet is most useful for tokens and apps based on the Ethereum blockchain. It can be used in NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea and Foundation. You can also buy and sell tokens with DEX like Uniswap. Many other dApps are also compatible with MetaMask.

How to install MetaMask on iPhone or Android

You can download the MetaMask app to your Android or iPhone. Here we use the iPhone as an example. If you are using an Android smartphone, the download and installation steps are very similar. Once installed, MetaMask will work the same regardless of your phone.

First, go to the iPhone App Store or Google Play Store, search for MetaMask and install it.

Once downloaded, go ahead and open the MetaMask app from your home screen. With the app open,[開始]Press.

After pressing “Getting Started”, tap “Create Wallet”. If you already have a wallet, select the Import Wallet option.

If you have MetaMask installed in your browser, you can select this option to integrate your existing wallet into your smartphone app.

On the next page, you will be asked if you agree with MetaMask’s user consent. You can select either option to continue.

Next, create a password for your wallet. Please agree to the terms of use. You can also enable this option if you use Face ID. It is enabled as the default setting.

You are now granted access to the secret recovery phrase. Your secret recovery phrase is the most important information.

caveat: Don’t lose or forget the secret recovery phrase. If you forget your password, the secret recovery phrase is the only way to access your wallet. If someone else knows your secret recovery phrase, they can access your wallet.

Write down the secret recovery phrase on a piece of paper. Do not save them on your computer. Make sure you always know where the secret recovery phrase is stored.

Click the box labeled View. Make a note of the secret recovery phrase.

After writing down the secret recovery phrase, tap the words in the order they appear and press Continue.

And you go. You have now created a MetaMask wallet. You can view your account balance, buy and send Ethereum, and view your recent activity.

Now that you have a MetaMask wallet, you can interact with all kinds of dApps, buy NFTs, send and receive Ethereum.

Use MetaMask on your phone

There are different ways to connect your MetaMask wallet, depending on whether you use your computer or phone to interact with platforms such as Uniswap, OpenSea, and Foundation.

Whether you’re on your computer or on the phone, you’ll usually see buttons such as “Connect to Wallet” on your platform.

For computers, clicking this will prompt you to select a wallet to connect to. Select the MetaMask option. The QR code will be displayed. The Connect Wallet button only displays the QR code and may not allow the user to select MetaMask. That’s okay. The following is an example of the QR code of Foundation.

MetaMask has a QR code scanner built into the app. Press the square button on the top right to proceed to scan the QR code on your computer screen.

caveat: Be careful when connecting your wallet to a suspicious platform or app. If you have any doubts, investigate and make sure it is legal. Most importantly, never give anyone, any app your secret recovery phrase.

If you are using your mobile phone to access platforms such as OpenSea, connecting your wallet will be even easier. On OpenSea or any other platform you are using[ウォレットの接続]When you press the option, you will be prompted to open your MetaMask wallet. When opened, a notification pops up to confirm the connection. No QR code required. Upon confirmation of the notification, your MetaMask wallet will connect to the platform you were previously using. When you return to the platform, your wallet should be connected.
