Apple introduces new professional training to support a growing IT workforce
With new online courses and certifications for Apple device support, deployment, and management, workers can prepare for high-demand careers.
The demand for skilled support and technical staff within the enterprise is increasing, and especially computer and information system jobs are projected to grow faster than the average for all professions from 2020 to 2030.1 As companies expand their use of technology, employees are demanding the use of iPhones, iPads, and Macs in the workplace, resulting in a growing need for IT professionals who are skilled in supporting and managing Apple products. To meet this growing demand, Apple today launched the latest professional training and certification for IT support and management. Training has been completely redesigned and moved to an online self-paced format. Users can demonstrate their capabilities in two new exams and earn certification from Apple.

Two new Apple Professional Training courses (Apple Device Support and Apple Deployment and Management) are available today at training.apple.com. The course is continuous and builds on skills and concepts as the user progresses. Upon completion of each course, Apple’s corresponding digital badges will be available to take advantage of new certification exams to demonstrate the abilities achieved at each level. Each exam costs $ 149 and allows you to view your certifications on your resume, online profile, and job listings, allowing users to stand out in job searches and employers to find qualified candidates.2

Apple’s new IT training series begins with an Apple device support course. The second level of IT Series training is the Apple Deployment and Management course, which covers how to configure, manage, and protect Apple products using mobile device management (MDM). To help you find a job or change jobs, Apple has partnered with community colleges and universities to offer on-campus preparation courses for Apple Certified IT Professional Badges. Through the Community Education Initiative (CEI), Apple offers scholarships to cover exam costs for students participating in CEI partner institutions. Apple first collaborated with Austin Community College in Austin, Texas to offer an Apple implementation course in early 2020, expanding to Chandler, Arizona and Marikopa Community College in Mesa this summer, with additional CEI schools.
